It's gratifying to see Rose's bait taken so enthusiastically. She's had such a small number of people to play off of for the last few years, so a new person with his own eccentricities is a breath of fresh air for her. Her mouth quirks into a small, intrigued smile as her new acquaintance rises to her challenge, and she adds a quizzically-raised eyebrow when he reveals his vocation.
Frankly it's kind of what she expected. A confident elf (or half-elf...?) offering to distract people brings to mind a certain game--let's call it Holes & Hydras--she played with her friends once upon a time. And even beyond that...
"Oh, I've met Bards before," she assures her new acquaintance--perhaps Fabian can even hear the capitalization the word receives. (She chooses to leave out that the Bards she's met were the most horrendous pieces of shit she's ever had the personal displeasure of meeting.) Violet eyes look Fabian up and down, sizing him up for a few moments before she renders her verdict:
"You don't even have pointed shoes," she says with gentle-yet-undeniable skepticism.
